About The Position

The Material Delivery Driver is responsible for the delivery of all EHOB-related items between various local locations. This includes product, work-in-progress, and materials. The role requires a valid driver's license and adherence to all state safety regulations. Additionally, the driver will load and unload product at delivery destinations and fill outgoing orders, ensuring accurate labeling, boxing, and wrapping of products. This position involves significant physical demands, including the ability to lift 35-50 pounds daily and up to 75 pounds occasionally.

Requirements

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to operate a manual or electric pallet jack.
  • Ability to add, subtract, divide and multiply.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Must be certified to drive a forklift.
  • Must have basic knowledge of Outlook, Traverse, and Excel.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license in Indiana.
  • Must provide proof of personal auto insurance to certain minimums.
  • Must have a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operates company-owned box truck to deliver material to assigned destinations.
  • May be required to clean, service, and maintain vehicles.
  • Inspect vehicle before and after delivery routes and report any problems to the warehouse supervisor.
  • Load delivery vehicle to transport materials.
  • Deliver and pick up materials as assigned.
  • Turn off and lock out equipment when not in use.
  • Navigate a variety of routes throughout the metro area while adhering to a time schedule.
  • Must be comfortable driving and working in inclement weather (Wind, Rain, Snow, Heat, etc.).
  • Perform receiving, staging, transfers, and material movements using barcode-scanning and WMS-directed workflows, ensuring safe and accurate handling of raw materials, components, and finished goods.
  • Prepare materials for distribution center while maintaining proper labeling, identification, and storage, and reporting any discrepancies, damages, or missing items.
  • Monitor real-time task queues, follow scan-accuracy requirements, resolve basic WMS errors, escalate issues as needed, and support inventory control during transfers.
  • Collaborate closely with production, warehouse, and shipping teams to maintain steady material flow, communicate shortages or delays, participate in continuous-improvement efforts, and assist in training new or temporary material handlers.
