About The Position

Standard Electric Supply Co. is seeking a highly motivated Material Handler and Delivery Driver to join their team in Milwaukee, WI. This role is responsible for the timely and accurate delivery of products to customers, while maintaining a commitment to quality and safety. The candidate will also be responsible for the efficient movement of materials within the warehouse, ensuring products are properly stored and organized using handheld barcode scanners. This position requires a proactive problem solver who can effectively communicate with team members and customers to ensure exceptional customer service. The compensation range for this position is $20 - $22 per hour.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver's license, CDL not required.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted required.
Valid DOT Medical Certification Card, or ability to obtain one upon hire (company will arrange the required DOT physical appointment).

Nice To Haves

Experience in a warehouse, driving, or customer service role.
Ability to operate a Forklift certification or other warehouse equipment.
Ability to operate a box truck and/or cargo van.
Knowledge of safety regulations in warehouse environments.

Responsibilities

Safely operate cargo vans and box trucks in accordance with company policies.
Load and secure materials to ensure safe transportation and prevent damage during transit.
Deliver products to customer locations in a timely and professional manner while providing exceptional customer service.
Communicate delivery updates, delays, or customer concerns as needed.
Plan and organize delivery routes to maximize efficiency and meet customer expectations.
Assist with warehouse duties, including picking, shipping, receiving, and put away when not making deliveries.
