About The Position

LG Electronics USA, Inc. in Huntsville, AL seeks Material Data Analyst. Responsible for supply forecasting, global sourcing, order and inventory, and data management of raw materials needed for factory automation/assembly of commercial air conditioners; analyze program data to prepare material spend plans and work collectively with other functional teams. Oversee the material flow process; establish and maintain supplier release and bidding procedure and supplier banking requirements to ensure an uninterrupted supply of raw materials to meet production requirements. Communicate with international vendors for part order status and ensure delivery dates of materials, clear custom and logistics delivery. Establish and monitor finished goods inventory levels to ensure on-time compliance with customer release requirements while minimizing carrying and premium freight costs. Review department/plant measurables (customer delivery, supplier delivery, premium freight and inventory) and establish corrective measures for performance adherence. Overall ownership of materials data, ordering, availability, and scheduling inventory levels for production. Ensure systemic accuracy of inventory. Rescheduling materials for pull ins (expedites) and push outs (for inventory control).

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data science, Library Science or a related field
  • 2 years of experience in the job offered or a related role in a material data analysis role
  • Coursework or work experience in organization of information
  • Coursework or work experience in business information management
  • Coursework or work experience in data organization
  • Coursework or work experience in raw materials and supply trends
  • Coursework or work experience in bidding participation
  • Coursework or work experience in custom clearance
