The Materials Analyst is responsible for maintaining the ERP system for all Material functional areas, including Item Master, BOM, ship to locations, and inventory parameters. This role involves creating daily production schedules, ensuring production output is recorded, and communicating supply shortages to customers. The analyst will review MRP supply reports, identify and correct inaccuracies in customer and supplier data, and track component inventory for root cause analysis and corrective actions. Additionally, the role includes performing daily cycle counts, reconciling inventory variances, tracking premium freight events and downtime caused by suppliers, creating debit memos for cost recovery, communicating DMRs to suppliers, obtaining dispositions for Quality Hold materials, and tracking supplier communication for engineering changes. The Materials Analyst will also report daily on key performance measures of the materials department, including inventory valuation, cycle counts, inventory accuracy, and past-due parts, while working towards achieving inventory valuation and turn targets. The position requires active participation in Health/Safety/Environmental investigations and the 8D process, reporting accidents and HSE&E emergencies, and ensuring compliance with all safety procedures and MMSA procedures.
