About The Position
The Material Coordinator is responsible for receiving and locating materials, sizing storage locations based on production requirements, and administering silo loading and unloading, including cleaning. This role also involves managing supply and stock levels of supplier markets and communicating all material movement changes through shift change meetings to floor help and material handlers daily. The Material Coordinator will inform and update manufacturing supervisors of significant changes in material movements and locations.
Requirements
- Previous experience in inventory / cycle counting
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data effectively.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the role.
- Forklift experience
Responsibilities
- Receive and locate materials.
- Size storage location based off production requirements.
- Administer Silo’s loading and unloading, cleaning, etc.
- Manage supply and stock levels of supplier markets.
- Communicate all material movement changes through shift change meetings to floor help and material handlers each day.
- Inform and update manufacturing supervisors of significant changes of material movements and locations.
- Conduct regular cycle counts of inventory to ensure accuracy and compliance with company standards.
- Maintain organized records of inventory counts and adjustments.
- Assist in the management of stock levels, including monitoring for overstock and stockouts.
