About The Position

SAIC is seeking a Material Coordinator for our Hanahan, SC location. The Material Coordinator will coordinate and expedite the flow of materials, parts, and assemblies within or between various buildings in accordance with the Facility Manager/Staff Engineer(s) priorities. This role involves reviewing production schedules and conferring with Facilities Staff to determine material requirements, arranging the transfer of materials to meet production schedules, and examining materials to verify type specified for current projects. The Material Coordinator will also compute the amount of materials needed for specific job orders, compile reports of quantity and type of materials on hand, and coordinate with Facility Staff for the repair and assembly/installation of facilities unique material. Additionally, the role requires exercising care in the use of company equipment and tools, and observing all safety programs and practices.

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED equivalent and two (2) years of experience.
• Must be able to safely lift up to 50 lbs.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Tools (Word, Outlook and Excel in particular).
• Must be a U.S. citizen able to obtain a Public Trust security clearance.
