About The Position

Coordinates and expedites the flow of materials such as property book items, repair parts, assemblies, and petroleum within or between departments according to production and shipping schedules or supervisor priorities. This role involves performing technical supply management tasks including inventory management, storage management, cataloging, and property utilization related to depot, local, or other supply activities. The work is typically focused on stable or standardized segments of technical supply management, often dealing with individual case problems or supply actions. This position requires data input and processing in the GCSS Army system, compiling production data, maintaining files, preparing work schedules, and managing material inventory records.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen or US permanent resident for more than 3 years in order to obtain NACI and CAC Card eligibility.
  • Ability to pass a post offer drug screen clearance.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 18 years of age
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment and background checks related to the position.
  • Valid state driver's license.
  • GCSS Army Certified.
  • Minimum of 2 years of related experience.
  • Must be computer literate.
  • Must possess good communication skills.
  • Must be able to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
  • Must be physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to work in all types of weather conditions to include intense heat, heavy wind, blowing sand, heavy rain, and snow and sleet.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates and expedites the flow of material (property book items, repair parts, assemblies, petroleum, etc.) within or between departments in accordance with production and shipping schedules or department supervisors’ priorities.
  • Performs limited aspects of technical supply management work, including inventory management, storage management, cataloging, and property utilization related to depot, local, or other supply activities.
  • Compiles and records production data on volume of production, consumption of material, quality control, and other aspects of production.
  • Performs data input and processing in the GCSS Army system.
  • Compiles detailed production sheets or work orders for use by production workers as guides in assembly or manufacture of products.
  • Prepares written work schedules based on established guidelines and priorities.
  • Sorts and distributes work orders or material.
  • Compiles material inventory records and prepares requisitions for procurement of material and supplies.
  • Maintains a safe work record.
