About The Position

Performs technical supply management work related to depot, local, or other supply activities, focusing on inventory management, storage management, cataloging, and property utilization. This role involves analyzing program requirements, understanding governing supply systems, and applying established guidelines to resolve individual supply actions. The position requires building and maintaining knowledge of supply systems, programs, policies, and work methods, as well as understanding the needs of the serviced organization. The Material Coordinator will utilize analytical skills to define problems, collect data, and recommend actions based on guidelines. All other position-related duties as assigned or requested are also part of the role.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of material/supply functions, either in the military services or in commercial applications.
  • Knowledgeable of governing supply systems/programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals or other established guidelines.
  • Ability to work in GSS-Army.
  • Must have or be able to obtain licenses/certifications as needed to perform duties.
  • Must have a valid and current state driver's license.
  • Must be able to operate a government general-purpose vehicle.
  • May be required to obtain and maintain a forklift license.
  • Must be able to complete paperwork associated with the position as required.
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced, complex environment.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Must be able to read and understand Technical Manuals, Technical Bulletins, Army Regulations and Department of the Army Pamphlets.
  • Ability to manipulate and use hand tools and hydraulic equipment.
  • Must possess basic computer skills and have the ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Must have an ability to meet physical demands and pass any related medical examination requirements required to perform daily assigned tasks.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization.
  • US Citizenship is required for facility credentials/authorization at this work location.
  • Passing a pre-employment drug screen and a government background check is required.
  • Must be able to successfully pass a National Agency Check (NAC) within 60 days of hire.
  • Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English.
