Opportunity Overview: We are looking for a Material Controller who epitomizes operational excellence and has a strong attention to detail. In this role, you will play a critical part in supporting Defense and Aerospace production by managing material flow and ensuring the accuracy of floor inventory. The Material Controller will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure materials are properly handled, tracked, and available for production. You will thrive in a collaborative environment and will be flexible and responsive to production demands.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Material Controller or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of Oracle 11i or similar material management systems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interface effectively across teams.
  • U.S. Person required due to CMMC L2 enclave access requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with production or manufacturing environments is a plus.
  • Experience managing material flow in Defense or Aerospace industries is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Manage materials on the production floor to ensure smooth operations.
  • Perform cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Maintain and update work orders and communicate with the stockroom to verify material availability.
  • Work closely with buyers to determine material delivery schedules and ensure timely availability.
  • Support production personnel by fulfilling material requests from stock.
  • Handle all aspects of product shipments, including paperwork, packaging, and delivering materials to Shipping.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to manage defective material returns (RMAs).
