Opportunity Overview: We are looking for a Material Controller who epitomizes operational excellence and has a strong attention to detail. In this role, you will play a critical part in supporting Defense and Aerospace production by managing material flow and ensuring the accuracy of floor inventory. The Material Controller will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure materials are properly handled, tracked, and available for production. You will thrive in a collaborative environment and will be flexible and responsive to production demands.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Material Controller or in a similar role.
Strong knowledge of Oracle 11i or similar material management systems.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and procedures.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to interface effectively across teams.
U.S. Person required due to CMMC L2 enclave access requirements.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with production or manufacturing environments is a plus.
Experience managing material flow in Defense or Aerospace industries is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Manage materials on the production floor to ensure smooth operations.
Perform cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy.
Maintain and update work orders and communicate with the stockroom to verify material availability.
Work closely with buyers to determine material delivery schedules and ensure timely availability.
Support production personnel by fulfilling material requests from stock.
Handle all aspects of product shipments, including paperwork, packaging, and delivering materials to Shipping.
Collaborate with suppliers to manage defective material returns (RMAs).
