About The Position

Leidos is seeking a Material Controller based in Huntsville, Alabama. The role supports project logistics by safely operating material-handling equipment, receiving and tracking materials, maintaining the receiving and stockroom environment, preparing shipments, assembling kits, and helping reconcile inventory. The position requires accurate recordkeeping and compliance with corporate and customer requirements.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship.
• High school diploma.
• 1–5 years of related work experience, including experience with inventory database software and shipping/receiving.
• Computer skills, including online database entry, updating, and lookup activities.
• Ability to use office equipment and personal computer software, including Microsoft Office and Costpoint.
• Strong interpersonal skills and effective communication.
• Ability to balance multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong attention to detail and organization.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Costpoint or other ERP systems.
• Forklift certification or the ability to obtain certification.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment safely and efficiently to support project logistics.
• Receive materials and process goods receipts to maintain material traceability and compliance with corporate and customer requirements.
• Maintain an organized, safe, and compliant receiving and stockroom environment.
• Participate in packaging and shipping materials through UPS, FedEx, and freight carriers, including preparing documentation and shipping labels.
• Assemble kits using Costpoint-generated pick lists; assemblies may include PCBs, cables, and electronic test instruments.
• Participate in inventory reconciliation events to maintain inventory accuracy and traceability.
• Provide logistics support to the team as requested to ensure timely package delivery.
