About The Position

Haumiller Engineering is a 100% employee-owned company that designs and builds custom high-speed automation assembly machines for medical devices, consumer goods and industrial manufacturing. We have an exciting opportunity for a Material Control Supervisor in our South Elgin, IL facility. The Material Control Supervisor is responsible for supervising daily operations and providing leadership for employees working within the Material Control group ensuring that packaging, shipping and receiving processes, logistics, and communication are executed properly to meet departmental and company objectives.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree, technical degree or certificate from college or technical school with emphasis on Supply Chain Management, Business, or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of supervision and material handling experience.
• Lean manufacturing experience.
• Ability to use a variety of material handling equipment, including a forklift

Responsibilities

• Manage the daily operations and workload for the Material Control group
• Makes decisions and resolves problems of moderate complexity working under minimal direct supervision of the Supply Chain Manager
• Develop solid relationships with carriers to execute service and savings agreements
• Participates in interviewing, selecting, orientating and training new staff members
• Effectively train employees on procedures in material control, shipping, receiving and crating
• Ensure cross-training to different roles within the department
