About The Position

The Material Control Specialist I works on the Material Control team under Planning and Material Control, supporting the planning and control of materials used in the Cell Business Unit in Indiana. The role helps manage the Material Center and works closely with Planning, Data Analysis, and Warehouse teams to support production and material operations. It also uses SAP systems for effective material control and daily operations and supports ISO 9001 activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, supply chain, or a related field.
• Over 1 year of work experience in supply chain, warehousing, or material planning within a multinational corporation manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated success in delivering strong quantitative results.
• Familiarity with working in a fast-moving environment.
• Basic knowledge of ERP platforms or SAP.
• Exceptional communication skills.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English.

Nice To Haves

• Master’s degree in business, engineering, supply chain, or a related field.
• Bilingual proficiency in Mandarin.

Responsibilities

• Help manage and oversee the Material Center while working closely with Planning, Data Analysis, and Warehouse teams.
• Support the management and monitoring of material levels.
• Create Bills of Materials (BOMs) for cell production.
• Work with the Warehouse to ensure Production Orders are fulfilled.
• Confirm material deliveries to production lines.
• Issue purchase orders to the Purchasing team.
• Use and manage SAP systems for material control and daily operations.
• Support ISO 9001 activities.
• Participate in weekly planning and purchasing conference calls.
