About The Position

The Material Control Specialist I ensures proper handling, storage, and transport of raw materials inventory and in-process product. The Material Control Specialist I maintains transactional inventory accuracy and performs stock rotations in accordance with standard operating procedures. Responsible for daily tasks within warehouse areas.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Knowledge of SAP/MAX or other material management software preferred
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word & Excel) & Microsoft Outlook
Ability to work well in a team
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Ability to lift 40 pounds

Nice To Haves

Forklift certification preferred; on-site training available
Must meet requirements to be an authorized driver of company insured vehicles

Responsibilities

Data entry of all SAP and Max transactions in the receiving and movement of raw material inventory.
Pull all needed raw and in-process materials required by the company in a timely fashion.
Utilize FEFO/FIFO practices
Assure compliance to all standard operating procedures.
Keep work areas in an organized and orderly fashion, storing materials to preserve their integrity.
Maintain the accuracy of the inventory through periodic physical counting of the materials.
Assist as needed with material returns accordance to company Quality, Purchasing, Financial and Manufacturing standards.
Ensure expired materials are removed from stock.
Timely transfer of needed materials for production and documents to storage location.
Operation of forklift.
Driving of company minitruck.
Other responsibilities as assigned.
