About The Position

This role is responsible for maintaining receiving/issue/return documentation, performing daily inventory counts, monitoring and replenishing stock production supplies, setting up new stock items, and analyzing material specifications and replenishment levels. The position also involves monitoring usage levels and assisting with forecasting to meet production and maintenance demands. Key accountabilities include accurate data entry, ensuring inventory system accuracy, inspecting and maintaining material handling equipment, and evaluating trends to adjust inventory. The role requires independent thinking, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to solve complex problems such as unit of measure conversions and invoice discrepancies. It also involves managing time and prioritizing tasks effectively.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or General Education Diploma equivalent
  • Knowledge of materials management/inventory control
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Knowledge of electronic vending software and hardware
  • Independent thinking in decisions concerning receipt, stock placement and inventory management.
  • High level of mechanical aptitude required for identification, receipt, new stock item set-up and disbursement assistance.
  • Good vision, hearing & communication skills
  • Must read, write, measure, draw conclusions, create methods, analyze inventory data, develop stock plans, direct & evaluate others and do difficult math.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Tabware or other inventory management software is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain receiving/issue/return documentation through computer entry and electronic filing.
  • Perform daily spot and cycle counts to insure inventory accuracy.
  • Monitor stock production supplies at machine centers and issue/replenish as required (Kanban system).
  • Set up new stock items in inventory management system.
  • Analyze and maintain material specifications and appropriate replenishment levels.
  • Monitor usage levels and assist Team Leader with forecasting to keep up with production and maintenance demands.
  • Inspect and maintain material handling equipment.
  • Evaluate production and maintenance trends and adjust inventory accordingly.
  • Interact with internal customers, suppliers and carriers.
  • Perform unit of measure conversions i.e. pounds to gallons, kg to lb., etc.
  • Resolve invoice and purchase order discrepancies.
  • Analyze system issues and suggest changes to system or procedures.
  • Manage time and prioritize equipment and delivery.
