Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of material handling, warehouse, or manufacturing experience required.
  • Previous experience operating a forklift required.
  • Must be comfortable working at heights and operating elevated equipment.
  • Ability to safely lift, move, and transport materials in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to follow safety procedures and work instructions.
  • Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.
  • Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate overtime and non-standard work hours as necessary.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience operating a sit-down and/or stand-up forklift in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
  • Ability to complete required equipment inspections and safely operate powered industrial trucks and aerial lifts.
  • Basic understanding of warehouse equipment safety and OSHA guidelines.
  • Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (Steel Toed Shoes, Ear Plugs, and Safety Glasses)
  • Ability to quickly move your hand, your hands together with your arm, or your two hands to grasp, lift, manipulate or assemble objects. (frequently)
  • Ability to exert muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects up to 50 lbs. (frequently)
  • Ability to stand and change positions frequently over an eight-hour period.
  • Ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with your body, arms, and/or legs. (frequently)
  • Ability to use your abdominal and lower back muscles repeatedly or continuously to lift objects up to 50 lbs. (frequently)
  • Ability to see (in low light), hear spoken words, and verbally communicate.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and change positions frequently over an eight-hour period. The position requires walking up to 8 hours per work shift.
  • Ability to exert muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects. (Lifting requirements up to and including 30 lb.) (frequently)
  • Ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with your body, arms, and/or legs.
  • Must be able to reach and lift above shoulders (frequently)

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous experience operating a scissor lift preferred.
  • Experience operating a scissor lift safely and in accordance with company safety procedure (preferred).
  • Experience using handheld scanners or warehouse inventory systems (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Complies with, monitors, and enforces all written and verbal safety regulations and programs of the plant and department.
  • Pass all required training to safely operate forklift and load hogs.
  • Understand and adhere to plant policies and procedures.
  • Accurately count and record all types of materials - finished goods, raw materials, roll stock and scrap.
  • Accurately enter information via handheld scanners.
  • Process work orders, document number of units handled, interpret verbal instructions to determine tasks, and transmit data for invoicing.
  • Stage finished product in proper locations within the warehouse.
  • Move freight, stock, and other materials to and from storage and production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, and containers by hand or by using electric pallet trucks, forklifts, and other equipment.
  • Perform maintenance move operations using the Warehouse Location Management System and scanners to ensure maximum storage locations.
