About The Position

The Material Control Clerk plays a vital role in managing the flow of materials within our facility. This position is responsible for receiving, inspecting, storing, tracking, and distributing raw materials, components, and finished goods. The ideal candidate will maintain meticulous inventory records, reconcile discrepancies, and ensure that production teams have the necessary supplies to operate efficiently without delays.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
1–3 years of experience working in a warehouse, manufacturing, or inventory control environment.
Proficiency with inventory management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and basic Microsoft Office skills (Excel and Outlook).
Strong math skills for counting inventory and a high level of accuracy in data entry.
Clear verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with purchasing, production, and shipping teams.

Responsibilities

Maintain accurate electronic inventory records using our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or Warehouse Management System (WMS).
Kitting, staging, and delivering materials directly to the production floor or specific departments based on daily manufacturing schedules.
Document all material movements, issue inventory parts, and generate shipping/receiving reports accurately.
Perform regularly scheduled physical inventory cycle counts and audit bin locations to investigate and resolve quantity variances.
Organize and log stock locations to ensure optimal space utilization and quick retrieval of items.
Adhere to all safety guidelines, keep work areas clean and orderly, and operate machinery (like forklifts or pallet jacks) safely.
