About The Position

Valeo is a global technology company and automotive supplier that develops mobility solutions focused on intuitive driving and reducing CO2 emissions. The Material Analyst supports material planning and production control by developing planning processes and ensuring materials and components are available to satisfy customer demand. The role plans raw materials using Sales and Operations Plans and Master Production Schedules, monitors inventory and material arrivals, and coordinates forecasts and orders with suppliers.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or relevant years of experience in lieu of a formal degree.
Five years of experience in a leadership role (team leader or above) or an analytical role (such as production scheduler or data analyst) in a manufacturing environment.
Excellent analytical, communication, and time-management skills.
Strong computer skills.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in material planning and/or a thorough understanding of SAP or other ERP systems in a JIT environment.

Responsibilities

Create and drive processes, procedures, and methodologies for production and supply-chain planning to improve cost, quality, and delivery.
Set appropriate inventory levels.
Provide internal reporting and analysis on stockouts and status.
Ensure materials and components are available to meet complete customer demand.
Plan raw materials based on Sales and Operations Plans and Master Production Schedules, anticipating potential impacts involving suppliers and production.
Validate and send weekly forecasts to suppliers.
Follow up daily on material arrivals against firm orders and ensure suppliers ship parts on time according to orders.
