About The Position

The California Hospital Medical Center Early Care and Education programs provide early care and education services for infants toddlers and pre-school children. Center-based Early Care and Education programs are open year round from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m Monday though Friday. As our Master Teacher, you will be responsible for providing a safe, developmentally appropriate early care and education environment that fosters the cognitive, social, emotional, language, and physical skill development of infant, toddler, and preschool children. Every day you will develop and implement curriculum and daily lesson plans tailored for early childhood education classrooms. You will also build collaborative relationships with parents and families, and meticulously complete all necessary documentation for the evaluation and management of early childhood education programs. To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate exceptional expertise in early childhood education, a proven ability to create engaging and developmentally appropriate learning environments, and strong collaborative skills for working with parents and managing program documentation.

Requirements

  • 2 years of experience working with children birth to five years.
  • BA in Child Development or a minimum of 24 Child Development units required.
  • Current CPR and First Aid training required

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual English/Spanish language skills preferred.
  • California Department of Education Teacher Permit preferred
