About The Position

Master Teacher I candidates are current students in Learning Care Group’s Master Teacher Certification Program. Candidates are nominated by their District Managers after a careful selection process. The nine-month program includes coursework completed independently at home, with weekly deadlines, and develops candidates into coaches, mentors, and role models for their peers. Candidates receive a pay increase upon completing each program level. The role supports classroom management, curriculum implementation, teacher development, educational programming, and training of new hires. Participants also complete a two-week practicum in a peer’s classroom.

Requirements

Must hold a current Child Development Associate (CDA) Certificate, an associate or bachelor's degree in early childhood education or elementary education, or an equivalent qualification.
Performance Review score of successful or higher.
At least two years of early childhood experience.
Works daily in an Infant, Toddler, Two’s, Early Preschool, Preschool, or Pre-K classroom.
Must have been employed with Learning Care Group for at least 90 days before the program start date.
Must be nominated to participate in the Master Teacher Certification Program following a selection process with District Managers.

Responsibilities

Lead classroom management and curriculum implementation and maintain expertise in licensing guidelines and company standards.
Support the development of existing teachers to improve program quality within the school.
Serve as a resource in educational programming, developmentally appropriate practice, and behavior guidance.
Help school management train new hires.
Communicate respectfully and maintain productive relationships with peers and families.
Participate in a two-week practicum in a peer’s classroom.
Complete program coursework from home and meet weekly deadlines during the nine-month certification program.
