About The Position
BMW of Lubbock, a Cavender Auto Family dealership, is seeking a Master Service Technician-Mainline to perform vehicle maintenance and repairs in accordance with dealership and manufacturer standards. The role involves diagnosing automotive systems, using diagnostic tools and service equipment, communicating additional repair needs to Service Advisors, and maintaining accurate work records and a clean, safe work area. The dealership offers sign-on bonuses of up to $15,000 based on level and certifications, guaranteed hours, relocation assistance reimbursement of up to $10,000, and tuition reimbursement for eligible recent graduates of accredited technical schools. Requirements
- Previous experience as a mainline service technician.
- Strong automotive background.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Successfully complete an MVR check, background check, and pre-employment drug test.
Responsibilities
- Perform work specified on repair orders efficiently and in accordance with dealership standards.
- Test-drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
- Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle systems, including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning systems.
- Communicate with the Service Advisor about additional service needs and provide an estimate of the time required for additional repairs.
- Complete assigned tasks in a timely manner and maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work.
- Perform warranty repairs according to manufacturer specifications.
- Keep the work area clean and orderly and follow prescribed safety regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
