Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • 1+ years of experience in data entry, data quality, data management, or data governance
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills
  • Well-organized and proven attention to detail
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and web browsers with the ability to troubleshoot complex problems
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to provide support to business users
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and with a team

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in data management, marketing, ecommerce, computer science, information technology, or related field

Responsibilities

  • Performing changes and approving data requests through master data applications timely and accurately.
  • Collecting and reporting data to support day-to-day operations and specific business decisions.
  • Identifying and resolving data quality issues through allocated data cleansing and testing tasks.
  • Engaging with stakeholders across the enterprise to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and quality across the organization with a primary focus on Master Item/Supply Chain processes.
  • Monitoring Master Data Management systems and central email box for new master item set ups and master item updates and approving them as necessary.
  • Assisting with the onboarding of items into systems through acquisitions and driving Data Quality to documented standards.
  • Understanding the flow of data between systems and coordinating with parties when issues arise.
  • Supporting quarterly testing for Oracle and ensuring the system works with implemented changes.
  • Supporting testing activities for system enhancements that affect Master Item for processing and documenting procedures and data standards as needed.
  • Supporting testing activities for Oracle PLM as it onboards to the Hormel Enterprise.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders as needed to support system updates for clarity for various Master Item activities.
  • Ambition to cross-train team members for full understanding of MDM processes and support data governance across the enterprise.
  • Working with data stewards in the business to resolve data quality issues in source systems.
  • Collaborating with IT teams to ensure seamless integration of master data across systems and applications.
  • Coordinating activities among project teams and data governance working groups for process enhancements and data quality.
  • Identifying, analyzing, and resolving data quality issues across assigned data domains.
