About The Position

The Master Scheduling Coordinator (MSC) is responsible for helping to coordinate machine inventory and configuration activities across Makino Mason. This role supports the management of the master production schedule by ensuring machines are ordered in alignment with production requirements, maintaining accurate machine status information on the machine availability list, and facilitating effective communication between Makino Mason and global operations. Through these efforts, the MSC helps ensure schedule adherence, inventory visibility, and organizational alignment across the global network.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and maintenance of the Master Production Schedule (MPS) by ensuring machine inventory and configuration data remain current and accurate.
  • Maintain planning tools, reports, and systems used to determine machine inventory requirements and forecasted shipment volumes.
  • Assist the Master Scheduling Manager in preparing and coordinating monthly reviews of machine inventory forecasts, production schedules, and machine availability.
  • Ensure machine availability information is accurately reflected in scheduling and inventory planning systems to support organizational planning and decision-making.
  • Support financial and operational planning activities by maintaining reliable scheduling and inventory data.
  • Work with the Master Scheduling Manager and Inside Sales team to determine machine ordering requirements based on forecasted demand, inventory targets, and customer requirements.
  • Prepare and process machine orders with Makino Tokyo (MT), Makino Asia (MA), and other global manufacturing affiliates.
  • Maintain accurate machine configuration information and verify machine orders are placed correctly and in a timely manner.
  • Track machine orders throughout the production process and communicate status updates, schedule changes, and delivery information to relevant stakeholders.
  • Maintain machine inventory records and support reporting requirements related to inventory availability and order status.
  • Support weekly cross-functional meetings to review machine orders, identify potential schedule conflicts, discuss open issues, and drive resolution of execution risks.
  • Maintain critical order documentation and ensure required information is available to all stakeholders involved in the fulfillment process.
  • Monitor order progress and proactively communicate issues that may impact machine availability, delivery schedules, or customer commitments.
  • Support continuous alignment between production schedules, inventory plans, and customer fulfillment activities.
  • Support in the communication between Makino Mason and global manufacturing affiliates regarding machine orders, production schedules, and fulfillment-related requests.
  • Participate in regular meetings and daily communications with global affiliates to support schedule execution and issue resolution.
  • Maintain data integrity within SAP, BOIS, and related planning systems.
  • Execute system transactions required to support machine procurement, inventory management, and production planning activities.
  • Assist in maintaining reporting tools, planning systems, and process documentation used by the scheduling function.
