Our company is currently searching for someone to join our materials and purchasing team as our Master Scheduler. This position will work within a team and must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and will be based in our Chicago, IL office. We are seeking someone who is capable of performing a multitude of functions while maintaining a focus on safety, customer satisfaction, quality and productivity. This role will require the selected candidate to be in office Monday through Friday 8am - 4:30pm.

Requirements

• High School Diploma
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with suppliers and internal teams.
• Past experience in buying or scheduling, preferably for a manufacturer
• Microsoft Office and Microsoft Excel
• ERP systems, preferably IQMS
• Math proficiency

Responsibilities

• Raw Material Management: Ensure timely creation of purchase orders, resolve inventory discrepancies, and maintain raw material availability
• Scheduling & Forecasting: Maintain weekly production schedules, adjusting quantities based on forecasts and inventory targets.
• Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels of raw materials; perform cycle counts on raw materials weekly and on spot basis as needed
• Communication: Coordinate and collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders such as production supervisors, plant managers, sales team members and supplier's customer service representatives.
• Initiatives: Provide support for cost out projects and review internally for any optimization opportunities.
