About The Position

The Master Scheduler analyzes production orders and assigns production jobs to workstations, coordinating process operations. The role plans schedules around inventory, capacity, labor, waste, and quality; assigns start and end dates and times for production jobs and process operations; and works with the Production Supervisor or Operations Manager to expedite and adjust schedules. The Master Scheduler also places and releases outside-processing orders through the ERP system, collaborates with procurement on order quantities, safety stock, inventory control, and cycle counts, expedites open-order deliveries according to customer demand, administers and analyzes cycle counts, and works with production leadership to optimize performance.

Requirements

• Three or more years of materials planning or production scheduling experience.
• Proficiency with manufacturing scheduling systems and MRP/ERP systems.
• Willingness to work with constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm and a sense of urgency.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects efficiently.

Nice To Haves

• Associate degree preferred.
• SAP experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze new and existing production orders.

• Assign start and end dates and times for production jobs and process operations.
• Work with the Production Supervisor or Operations Manager to expedite and adjust work schedules.
• Place and release orders for outside processing as needed using the ERP system.
• Collaborate with procurement to identify and maintain optimal order quantities, safety stock levels, inventory control, and cycle counts.
• Report procurement obstacles and proposed solutions.
• Expedite delivery of open orders as dictated by customer demand.
• Administer and analyze cycle counts.
• Partner with production leadership to optimize production performance.
