About The Position

The Master Scheduler is vital part of the production team and is responsible for managing inventory levels, communicating updates to the customer, managing engineering changes, and ensuring we are meeting production targets. The position reports to the Materials Manager and is located at our Van Buren, Michigan manufacturing site, which is part of our Automotive Structures & Industry business unit.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of three (3) years of materials scheduling experience in a tier 1 automotive facility
  • Detailed oriented
  • Excellent problem resolution skills
  • Proficient with Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Proficient with MRP systems

Responsibilities

  • Develop Production Schedule for the manufacturing and assembly areas and enter JOBS
  • Ensure Production is meeting Production Targets
  • Attend the 8am daily Flash meeting and report out all material shortages inbound and outbound
  • Manage inventory levels at the PPG offsite location (Ford Only)
  • Manage onsite employees at the PPG offsite location (Ford Only)
  • Communicate and resolve customer deliveries
  • Update the customer portal as required (Ford, FCA, GM, BMW)
  • Manage customer delivery ratings
  • Work with Planners to ensure no shortages on inbound material
  • Manage and communicate Engineering Changes
  • Analyze inbound customer releases to identify mix fluctuations and volume changes
  • Setup S&OP meetings with management team to review customer volumes
  • Lead the monthly S&OP meetings
  • Update and review Netting File daily and identify constraints
  • Lead the weekly Capacity (Netting) Meeting
  • Review and update the Flowboard daily
  • Review customer forecast weekly and communicate to Finance for the weekly forecast
  • Review customer EDI for accuracy and errors to support accurate supplier releases
  • Analyze capacity constraints
  • Communicate issues and concern to the customer
  • Notify customer of any potential interruptions
  • Meet with customer weekly relative to supply status and recovery plans
  • Perform Item Parameter Reviews annually on all customer end items and WIP assemblies
  • Attend Program Management meetings weekly and communicate changes to the plant team
  • Attend ECR Meetings and communicate to the plant team
  • Manage and lead customer balance out at the end of a program model year
  • Submit obsolescence claims to the customer
  • Reports directly to the Materials Manager and acts as a backup when the Materials Manager is out of the office
