About The Position

Eldora is the backyard winter mountain playground for Greater Denver, Boulder County, and Colorado's northern Front Range. Eldora strives to deliver Colorado’s Front Range the most memorable outdoor adventures to locals and out-of-town visitors. Position Summary: Ski & Ride Masters Coaches are friendly, welcoming, and inclusive, all while providing unparalleled learning and customer service experiences for our guests. Our Master’s Coaches work throughout the season and ensure the best possible experience for the Eldora guest, working on an individual basis and as a part of the Eldora team. Requirements

• Previous experience with teaching/coaching/mentoring preferred.
• Ability to ski and ride well
• Must be an excellent communicator and work well with others in and outside of the SRS department.
• Previous winter racing/coaching/competitive experience
• Familiarity with course setting and the USSA Skills Quest concepts
• Current PSIA-AASI/USSA certification(s)
• High school diploma or equivalent

Nice To Haves

• we are looking for a ‘people person’ who has the desire to develop their personal skiing and/or riding skills.

Responsibilities

• Observing and providing feedback to racers
• Setting and tearing down courses
• Assisting with MA and other training responsibilities
• Slipping courses
• Other duties as assigned
• Must love working with adults and can communicate effectively to build long lasting relationships with their athletes.
• Must be able to share your love for skiing/riding/racing with Eldora guests in a safe and effective manner.
• Coach ski or snowboard racing skills with a keen focus on the welfare of the athletes.
• Have a desire to learn and develop personal skills by attending our free, ongoing ski & snowboard training.
• Live the Eldora culture of being welcoming and inclusive while abiding by our policies.
• Work with the SRS team in teaching and non-teaching duties.
• Must be able to access daily schedules and company notices electronically.
• Support Eldora’s corporate responsibility commitment to protect the environment by participating in our Sustainable Transportation Program. This includes choosing alternative transportation, carpooling, using the employee shuttle, and avoiding onsite parking on weekends and peak days.
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays as required by resort operations.
