About The Position
The Warehouse Assistant will assist with staffing the food pantry, which will involve greeting and assisting customers with making selections, when necessary assist customers with their grocery bags and keep accurate records of customers who visit the pantry. The Warehouse Assistant will also re-stock the pantry, keep product shelves organized and maintain a clean area. Assist with deliveries and pick-up of food and donations, stocking of shelves, regular maintenance of the facility including sweeping, mopping, trash pick-up and removal, and in the management of clothing and textile donations including transport to satellite location and sorting. Other duties as needed.
Requirements
- Good interpersonal skills and customer service skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to lift 30 pounds
