About The Position

Belmont Pines Hospital is seeking a talented and dynamic Licensed Social Worker/Counselor to join our team of dedicated healthcare professionals! This is a full-time, dayshift opportunity onsite at our facility. Flexibility for weekends may be required on an as needed basis. Belmont Pines Hospital is the largest freestanding children’s behavioral health hospital in northeast Ohio and western Pennsylvania. We provide comprehensive behavioral health services to children and adolescents ages 6 through 17. Each of our inpatient and residential services are tailored to most appropriately meet the needs of our patients. We employ a compassionate, trauma-informed care treatment model across all of our program offerings. Position Summary: The Licensed Social Worker/Counselor provides services to patients and families acting as a liaison between treatment team, physicians, referral sources, community agencies, outside therapists, and third-party reviewers. Additional the Licensed Social Worker/Counselor provides individual, family, multi-family and group therapy per program needs. Completes assessments, contributes to the master treatment plan, and ensures the discharge planning is complete and contributes to discharge summaries as assigned.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work or Master’s Degree in Counseling.
  • Ohio LSW, LISW, LPC, or LPCC.
  • Work experience as licensed social worker or counselor.
  • Must have working knowledge of developmental and life stage of and psychiatric problems peculiar to younger childhood (ages 3-7), middle childhood (ages 8-12), and adolescent (ages 13 to 18) populations.
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Diplomacy and discretion are essential, as well as excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple projects.
  • Professional demeanor and appearance required.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous work experience in a mental healthcare facility is highly preferred.
