About The Position

Centerpoint is a 16-bed Intensive Residential Treatment Program (IRTP) for emotionally disturbed adolescent males. The primary mission of Centerpoint is the treatment and rehabilitation of adolescent males with mental illness and challenging behaviors. Centerpoint provides a secure, clinically intensive residential program that enhances growth and coping skills. The program’s ultimate goal is to enable each resident to attain optimal psychological and social growth; to transition to a less restrictive setting and eventually into the greater community.

Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age.
• Master’s Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology required.
• Clinical licensure (LCSW, LMHC, LICSW, LMFT) or able to sit for clinical licensure required.
• Clinical experience with adolescents is necessary.
• Maintains valid driver’s license as transporting students is required.
• Background and driving record checks will be performed.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with DBT, CBT, ARC and/or other trauma informed models of treatment preferred.
• Experience with residential care is a plus!

Responsibilities

• Co-leading a dynamic team with an energetic and positive approach while working with youth.
• Providing treatment and comprehensive assessments for students through individual, group, and family therapy.
• Developing innovative and individualized treatment plans to support students in reaching their clinical and treatment goals.
• Managing a caseload of students to help them develop life skills such as cooking, banking, vocational skills, and more.
• Supporting students in developing a sense of self and providing them the skills to be successful in their next steps.
• Providing physical interventions and verbal de-escalations to provide the safest therapeutic atmosphere for clients.
