About The Position

Metroplex Refrigeration is seeking a Senior or Master Refrigeration Technician to service and maintain commercial ice machines and refrigeration equipment. This role requires strong troubleshooting skills, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to safety and customer service in a fast-paced, 24/7 environment. Smart Care is a national repair and service provider for commercial foodservice, refrigeration, and cold storage equipment. Requirements

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in commercial HVAC/refrigeration.
• Strong ability to independently diagnose and repair mechanical systems.
• Technical training through trade school, RSES, or equivalent experience.
• High school diploma or GED; completion of an accredited HVAC/R apprenticeship or technical trade school program.

Responsibilities

• Service commercial refrigeration systems, including: Ice Machines.
• Walk-in coolers and freezers.
• Reach-in units.
• Small self-contained equipment.
• Beverage equipment.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair medium- and low-temperature refrigeration systems with minimal supervision.
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal system performance.
• Respond to service calls, including participation in a 24/7 on-call rotation.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed.
• Follow all safety protocols, especially when handling refrigerants.
• Provide excellent customer service while interacting with clients.
• Operate company vehicles safely and use appropriate safety equipment.
• Support additional geographic service areas as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
