About The Position

Lake Air Products is a fast-growing contract manufacturer serving medical, aerospace and defense, industrial, and other markets. The Master Scheduler oversees production scheduling across the company’s four Minnesota facilities, partnering with purchasing, logistics, and production teams to balance supply and demand, provide visibility into future production needs, and ensure materials are available when needed. The role creates, executes, and monitors an effective scheduling management system and implements practices to improve efficiency, coordination, and on-time performance. The position develops and maintains schedules aligned with customer demand, capacity, material availability, and delivery requirements. It works cross-functionally to set priorities, resolve constraints, and communicate schedule changes; manages material requirements and potential shortages; and serves as the ERP subject matter expert for production planning and scheduling. The role also maintains planning standards, monitors capacity and production performance, reports key performance indicators, and keeps production plans accurate and responsive to changing customer and operational needs. This is a full-time, on-site position. Travel to the Roseville, Minnesota facility may be required. The position may be subject to export control regulations. No relocation assistance is offered.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 5 years of experience in production planning and inventory management, including experience analyzing data related to product forecasting, master scheduling, or shipment forecasting.
Proficiency in MRP and scheduling software, with speed, accuracy, and attention to detail.
Expertise in load leveling, expediting techniques, inventory management, and lean Kanban practices.
Strong problem-solving, time-management, multitasking, and computer skills.
Positive, energetic attitude and excellent communication skills for collaboration with Sales, Engineering, Purchasing, Production, and potentially customers.
Ability to create and adjust production schedules in response to material availability, equipment failures, alternate routings, fluctuating customer demands, quality or rework requirements, and other variables.
Ability to meet applicable export control requirements if the position is subject to them; the posting states that candidates who are not U.S. Persons may need to obtain an export control license.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with the Epicor Kinetic ERP platform.
Experience in manufacturing settings and sheet metal fabrication.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain production schedules that align customer demand, capacity, material availability, and delivery requirements across manufacturing operations.
Partner with Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement, and Logistics to establish priorities, resolve constraints, and communicate schedule changes that support customer commitments.
Manage material requirements and production supply by identifying potential shortages, coordinating material deliveries, and balancing inventory levels to avoid shortages and unnecessary overbuilding.
Serve as the ERP subject matter expert for production planning and scheduling, ensuring accurate master data, including lead times, lot sizes, safety stocks, delivery times, and order information.
Establish and maintain planning, scheduling, and sequencing standards for consistent and effective production planning across operations.
Monitor production performance and capacity to ensure schedules align with available resources, allocations, and budgetary guidelines; analyze and report key performance indicators.
Maintain production planning accuracy and integrity by managing expedited requests, schedule changes, and updates while keeping plans responsive to changing customer and operational needs.
