About The Position

The Master Production Scheduler develops and maintains the master production schedule within the approved production plan and the manufacturing facility’s capacity. The role focuses on minimizing lead times and maximizing customer service while keeping the master schedule achievable. It supports the predefined monthly production plan budget and uses forecasting, inventory objectives, component availability, and capacity planning to develop and maintain production schedules and execution strategies.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering, Materials Management, or Business Administration.
• At least three years of experience in forecasting, planning, and scheduling in a manufacturing environment.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in Spanish and English.
• Experience with MRPII information systems, SAP R/3, and Microsoft XP.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain a detailed master production schedule supporting the predefined monthly production plan budget.
• Review MPS system exception reports and analyze forecasts, customer requirements, safety stock, and inventory objectives to determine appropriate actions.
• Evaluate changes within cumulative lead time and minimize their effects on manufacturing priorities, capacities, and inventories.
• Evaluate purchased and manufactured component availability, analyze problem situations, and determine optimal rescheduling strategies.
• Use rough-cut capacity planning to evaluate whether the master schedule is acceptable.
• Use detailed capacity planning to ensure the master schedule is achievable and develop an execution strategy.
