Requirements
- High School diploma.
- Experience in welding and fabrication (training course - satisfactory completion).
- Must successfully demonstrate welding and fabrication skill prior to being awarded the job.
- At least six (6) years of experience.
- At least two (2) years of experience with Powered (e.g. electric, liquid propane gas (l.p.g.)) material handling equipment (major mechanical, electrical diagnostics and repairs).
- Formal schooling with certification may be counted to satisfy up to two (2) years of the total experience requirement and up to fifty percent (50%) of each individual category requirement.
- Powered (e.g. electric, liquid propane gas (l.p.g.)) material handling equipment (major mechanical, electrical diagnostics, and repairs): 1 year
- Hydraulic systems (major repairs): 1 year
- Welding and fabrication (training course - satisfactory completion): 1 year
Responsibilities
- Perform all repairs to Hilo equipment.
- Perform all major repairs requiring welding.
- Other duties as required.
