About The Position

Analyzes, maintains, repairs, and rebuilds a variety of automotive, diesel and turf equipment (light and heavy), and related parts and units. Diagnoses vehicles and/or equipment to determine nature and extent of damage or malfunction. Removes, disassembles, and inspects units, such as engines, transmissions, etc. Repairs, overhauls, and replaces parts, such as carburetors, fuel injectors, alternators, distributors, pumps, pistons, rods, bearings, etc. Repairs and rewires electrical systems, such as ignition systems, lights, etc. Adjusts brakes, aligns front end on various vehicles (light and heavy). Replaces and repairs shock absorbers and hydraulic components as needed. Provides technical and safety instruction to personnel assigned to assist in the performance of assigned tasks.

Requirements

• Experience with automotive, diesel, and turf equipment maintenance and repair.
• Proficiency in diagnosing vehicle and equipment malfunctions.
• Skill in disassembling, inspecting, and repairing engine and transmission units.
• Ability to repair and overhaul various parts.
• Knowledge of electrical systems repair and rewiring.
• Experience with brake adjustment and front-end alignment.
• Ability to replace and repair shock absorbers and hydraulic components.
• Capability to provide technical and safety instruction.
