About The Position
We are seeking a Master Mechanic for a heavy equipment company to join our team as a Field Technician. The ideal candidate is a versatile mechanic, a jack of all trades, capable of troubleshooting and repairing a wide range of equipment. This position offers competitive pay and benefits.
Requirements
- Solid working knowledge of heavy equipment, tractors, and trailers.
- Ability to take your time and demand perfection in your work.
- Clean driving record to drive the company truck.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair a wide range of heavy equipment, including 18-wheelers and smaller utility duty trucks (F150s) running on gas, diesel, or electric power.
- Perform service on tractor-trailers.
- Conduct diagnostics and repair on cooling systems, hydraulic systems, and turbos, including removal and replacement.
- Understand the difference between flow and pressure, and basic hydraulic principles.
- Differentiate between 5V reference systems versus carb systems, and understand the difference between 12V and 24V, volts, and amps.
- Perform fuel injector remanufacturing and injector coating work.
