About The Position

Blast Cleaning Technologies, Inc. (BCT) is seeking a Master Machinist to join our team. This role involves setting up and operating CNC lathe & mill machines, reading and writing M and G code, and ensuring parts are machined to print specifications. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and proficient in programming and machine operation within a manufacturing environment.

Requirements

• Able to layout features on material using drawings.
• Able to be self-motivated and stay organized.
• Attention to detail and proficient computer skills.
• Able to Program using Mastercam, long hand, or others.
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of programming using Mastercam or long hand required.
• 4+ years set up and operation of CNC Lathes and Mills required.
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment

Nice To Haves

• Foundry experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC lathe & mill machines.
• Read and write M and G code.
• Set up and run parts complete, to print.
• Verify parts are machined per print before handing off to inspection.
• Set up/design fixturing for machine operations needed to complete part.
• Measure dimensions of finished work pieces to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments, templates, and fixtures.
• Perform all required maintenance for machines.
• Mount, install, align, and secure tools, attachments, fixtures, and work pieces on machines, using hand tools and precision measuring instruments.
• Adjust machine feed and speed, change cutting tools.
• Stop machines to remove finished work pieces, or to change tooling, setup, or work piece placement, according to required machining sequences.
• Calculate machine speed and feed ratios, and the size and position of cuts.
