Requirements

Must live within the service area.
Minimum of 10 years of paid experience as a handyman.
Must own and maintain your own set of tools.
Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
Must be insurable to drive a company vehicle.
Must successfully complete a background check, driving record check, and drug screening.
Able to lift 50 pounds without assistance.
Able to work safely at heights and perform overhead tasks for extended periods.
Must maintain a professional appearance and keep the company-provided vehicle in clean, presentable condition.
Strong proficiency in Carpentry work.
Strong proficiency in Bathroom improvements.
Strong proficiency in Kitchen improvements.
Strong proficiency in Painting, both inside and out.
Strong proficiency in Drywall work, minor and major repairs.
Strong proficiency in General plumbing and electrical, where allowed by law.
Strong proficiency in Floor installation and refurbishing.
Familiar with building codes.

Nice To Haves

Spanish is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

Completing small to medium maintenance and repairs for home and commercial projects, ranging from two hours to two days.
Communicating with customers to explain necessary work, manage expectations regarding scope and costs.
Delivering a great customer experience to create repeat business by following the "Mr. Handyman Way."
Encouraging customers to complete satisfaction surveys.
Finding additional ways to be of service to the customer to meet revenue targets.
Invoicing appropriately, sourcing needed materials, and collecting payment from the customer.
Ensuring work is done correctly the first time to meet a one-year guarantee.
