CACI is looking for a Master HVAC Technician to join their team at Fort Sam Houston, TX. The selected candidate will perform inspections on HVAC systems and components to evaluate their condition, identify necessary repairs, and recommend or perform preventive maintenance. This role involves cleaning, lubricating, and repacking working parts of the system. The position requires extensive experience in installing, repairing, and maintaining large commercial and industrial ventilation, refrigeration, AC, and cooling systems, including complex problems and extensive repairs. The technician will independently perform work on various HVAC equipment and systems, including control and monitoring systems. A significant aspect of the role involves working with engineering or scientific personnel, reviewing plans, and performing design, modification, maintenance, and repair of critical environmental and energy support systems within SCIFs, including computerized controls and air quality monitoring systems. The position also requires providing advanced technical knowledge for unique security requirements in SCIFs, such as sound baffling and resolving compromising electrical currents, to sustain high system availability rates. The role includes producing classified technical documentation, providing expert technical assistance for a 24-hour operational environment with limited documentation, and responding to off-duty calls for critical system outages. The technician will also be involved in periodic worldwide deployments in strategic and tactical mobile facility environments, supporting US Army systems on-site wherever deployed, and potentially deploying to other countries for rapid reaction technical support in hazardous work environments.
