About The Position

Seaside Plumbing is exploring an expansion into HVAC services and is seeking an experienced Master HVAC License Holder & Trainer to help build and shape this new program from the ground up. This is not a currently open position, but rather a call for interested professionals who want the opportunity to develop an HVAC operation. The ideal candidate will not only hold the necessary license but also possess a passion for teaching, building systems, and developing future HVAC technicians. The role involves creating a structured training curriculum, providing hands-on instruction, establishing quality and safety standards, and contributing to the overall development of Seaside's HVAC processes and culture.

Requirements

  • Holds an active Master HVAC license.
  • Significant hands-on HVAC experience.
  • Experience training, mentoring, or developing technicians and apprentices.
  • Ability to translate technical knowledge into structured, understandable training.
  • Capability to write, build, and execute an HVAC curriculum.
  • Understanding of applicable HVAC codes, safety requirements, and industry standards.
  • Enjoys developing people.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with trainers, managers, and field professionals.
  • Excited by the opportunity to help build something from the ground up.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Master HVAC license holder for the organization.
  • Develop and execute a structured HVAC apprenticeship and training curriculum.
  • Provide hands-on technical instruction to developing HVAC apprentices.
  • Establish standards for safe, code-compliant, high-quality HVAC work.
  • Help develop training materials, skills assessments, and progression standards.
  • Coach apprentices through increasing levels of technical competency.
  • Support the development of future HVAC technicians.
  • Partner with leadership to develop HVAC processes, standards, and training systems.
  • Collaborate with the Plumbing Trainer and operational leaders to create cross-training opportunities for existing plumbing professionals.
  • Help build a culture where HVAC professionals take pride in their craft.
