About The Position

The Master Electrician assists in coordinating electrical and electronic maintenance, repairs, and installations, including coordinating machine downtime with Production personnel. The role ensures appropriate tools and materials are available and prepares material requisitions for new electrical installations and general repairs. It reviews requested machine modifications and proposed implementation methods, coordinating with contractors when needed to specify electrical work and integrate it with existing equipment or systems. The role also ensures machinery and work areas are cleaned after maintenance, uses PCs, PLCs, and CAD systems, and trains new Electrical Maintenance personnel as required.

Requirements

Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; a combination of experience and/or education will be considered.
Minimum of 5 years of experience; a combination of experience and/or education will be considered.
Must possess a Vermont State Master Electrician License.
Must have applicable knowledge of electrical testing equipment, including ammeters and voltmeters; conduit-bending equipment; power hand tools and hand tools; plant machinery and equipment; replacement parts; control cabinets; wiring; and conduit.

Responsibilities

Assist in coordinating electrical/electronic maintenance, repair, and installation.
Coordinate machine downtime for maintenance with Production personnel.
Ensure adequate tooling and materials are available for installation and repair work.
Prepare material requisitions for new electrical installations and general repairs.
Review requested machine modifications and suggested implementation methods.

Ensure machinery and work areas are cleaned after maintenance functions.
Utilize PCs, PLCs, and CAD systems.
Train new Electrical Maintenance personnel as required.
