Requirements

  • Extensive knowledge of various electrical trade fundamentals sufficient to deal with general repairs.
  • Ability to read/comprehend blueprints, schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • General knowledge of robotics and integration from an electrical perspective.
  • Ability to inspect electrical components such as transformers, circuit breakers and circuit boards.
  • Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; Looks for ways to improve and promote quality; Applies feedback to improve performance; Monitors own work to ensure quality.
  • Completes work in timely manner; Works quickly.
  • Observes safety and security procedures; Determines appropriate action beyond guidelines; Reports potentially unsafe conditions ; Uses equipment and materials properly.
  • Is consistently at work and on time.
  • Follows instructions, responds to management direction; Takes responsibility for own actions.
  • Current Master Electrician License
  • Six months minimum experience in an industrial setting.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Stand or walk 100% of shift.
  • Frequent bending and lifting to 30 lb. unassisted several times during the shift.
  • Must have above average manual dexterity.
  • Carrying or lifting parts up to 30 pounds unassisted.
  • Ability to bend, climb, crawl, push and pull frequently during shift.

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance work on all plant equipment, focusing on minor/major electrical repairs needed to maintain, install, and start-up machines, heating systems, compressors, plumbing, etc.
  • Operate and use various types of electrical testing equipment.
  • Troubleshoot electrical and basic PLC systems and communicate with systems providers where needed.
  • Perform duties specified in schedule as per instructions from supervisor.
  • Follow state and local regulations based on current electrical codes.
