About The Position

The Master Electrician assists in coordinating electrical and electronic maintenance, repair, and installation at Mylan Technologies, Inc. The role coordinates machinery downtime with Production personnel, ensures adequate tools and materials are available for installation and repair work, and prepares material requisitions for electrical installations and general repairs. It reviews requested machine modifications and proposed implementation methods, and coordinates with contractors when needed to define electrical work and integrate it with existing equipment or systems. The position also ensures machinery and work areas are cleaned after maintenance, uses PCs, PLCs, and CAD systems, and trains new Electrical Maintenance personnel as required. The role is a third-shift position and is eligible for a 20% shift differential.

Requirements

• Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; a combination of experience and/or education will be considered.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience.
• Must possess a Vermont State Master Electrician License.
• Applicable knowledge of electrical testing equipment, including ammeters and voltmeters; conduit-bending equipment; power hand tools and hand tools; plant machinery and equipment; replacement parts; control cabinets; wiring; and conduit.
