Discover Impactful Work: As a Master Demand Planner at Thermo Fisher Scientific, you will contribute to supply chain excellence and customer success. You will be responsible for developing and managing credible demand signals, working closely with internal stakeholders and customers to create accurate 18-24 month rolling forecasts. Managing the monthly Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP) process, you will facilitate cross-functional collaboration to align commercial strategies with operational capabilities. You will analyze historical data, market trends, and customer insights to optimize inventory levels while maintaining high service levels. Through regular engagement with commercial teams and customers, you will build effective partnerships to enhance forecast accuracy and drive continuous improvement. You will also support new product introductions, manage product lifecycle transitions, and provide critical insights for strategic business decisions. This role provides the opportunity to contribute meaningfully by ensuring the reliable supply of products that help make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer. You will implement process improvements, support team members, and contribute to the organization's operational excellence initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Engineering, or Business Administration or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification
  • Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 8+ years) or equivalent
  • Strong proficiency in statistical forecasting methodologies and SIOP/IBP processes
  • Experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Advanced analytical skills with ability to translate data into actionable insights
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills for stakeholder engagement
  • Proven track record of improving forecast accuracy and reducing bias
  • Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration abilities
  • Ability to travel up to 25% as required
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of manufacturing processes
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and mentoring skills
  • Experience facilitating meetings and driving consensus across stakeholder groups
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check, which includes a drug screening

Nice To Haves

  • APICS certification (CPIM or CSCP) preferred
  • 2+ years of management responsibility
  • In some cases an equivalency, consisting of a combination of appropriate education, training and/or directly related experience, will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role
  • Experience with demand planning software (Demantra, Kinaxis, or similar tools)
  • Experience in pharmaceutical/biotech industry preferred
  • Knowledge of Power BI and Salesforce.com preferred
