About The Position

This role requires a self-starter who is detail-oriented and organized, capable of accepting and following directions. The technician will be responsible for manufacturing, assembling, installing, and re-working various aircraft structural components unsupervised. A working knowledge of general manufacturing/fabrication processes and familiarity with the installation of various aerospace fasteners, rivets, and nut plates are essential. The ability to interpret technical manuals, specifications, blueprints, and engineering drawings is crucial. The technician will also maintain shop supplies, perform preventive maintenance on assigned equipment, operate complicated shop tools and equipment as trained, and use precision measuring devices. Additionally, they will perform inventory control, maintain tool control and accountability, and adhere to company policies and safety programs. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be self-starter, detail-oriented and organized
  • Must be able to accept and follow directions
  • Working knowledge of general manufacturing/fabrication processes
  • Familiar with the installation of various aerospace fasteners, rivets, nut plates etc.
  • Ability to interpret technical manuals, specifications, blueprints and engineering drawings
  • Use of precision measuring devices such as calipers, height, depth, dial, and screw pitch gauges
  • Must be a US citizen
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance may be required
  • Able to assess, install, and modify equipment, and inspect machinery
  • Able to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, grasp and reach with hands and arms, handle and operate hand/power tools and machine controls
  • Perform frequent wrist, hand, and finger movements
  • Prolonged periods of standing while operating machinery
  • Adhere to all safety protocols, including wearing appropriate safety gear (e.g., eyewear, gloves, masks, hearing protection, etc.) for the assigned task
  • Able to safely lift and carry up to 50 pounds at a time
  • 10+ years of professional experience in the required task area required

  • Associate’s Degree in management or technical/scientific discipline preferred
