Performs master craftsman and lead work associated with installation, inspection, and maintenance of communications equipment which may include fire alarms, life safety, sprinkler systems, master antenna television (MATV), intercoms, communications equipment and fixtures. Responds to assigned work orders relating to life safety, sprinkler, fire alarm, MATV, and intercom systems. Troubleshoots appropriate corrective measures and performs work to provide a solution. Replaces faulty or defective life safety, sprinkler, fire alarm, MATV, and intercom systems. Performs inspections, testing, and certification of life safety, sprinkler, fire alarm, MATV, and intercom systems. Prepares and maintains records, work logs, and reports, as needed. Adheres to laws, regulations, and requirements set forth in the Wake County Public Schools (WCPSS) Safety procedures/policies. Maintains compliance and adherence to all safety procedures, occupational health practices, and maintains a safe work environment. Performs other related duties, as assigned.
