About The Position

La Colonia Medical Center is seeking a Massage Therapist to join our Center to provide massage therapy as part of our chiropractic and rehabilitation treatment to our patients.

Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent Certificate.
Massage Therapist License.
At least one of year experience of related experience.
Must be able to work with computers and thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Outstanding communication skills - verbal and written.
Must be fluent in spoken and written English/Spanish.
Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication to deliver a pleasant patient experience.
Must be able to pass a drug test and background screening.

Responsibilities

Massage and knead muscles and soft tissues of the body to provide treatment for medical conditions, injuries, or wellness maintenance.
Confer with patients about their medical histories and problems with stress or pain to assess physical conditions of patients to aid in diagnosis or treatment.
Administer therapy treatments to patients using hands or physical treatment aids.
Properly plan the operation (therapy sessions) considering transport logistics.
Maintain treatment records.
Provide patients with guidance and information about techniques for postural improvement and stretching, strengthening, relaxation, and rehabilitative exercises.
Consult with other health care professionals, such as physiotherapists, chiropractors, physicians to develop treatment plans for patients.
Perform other duties as assigned.
