About The Position

Provides massage therapy service to the community. Organizes time to account for workload, priorities, meetings, and/or emergencies. Recognizes and reports potential problems to immediate supervisor. Demonstrates listening, understanding, and sensitivity to verbal/nonverbal communication. Communicates effectively and tactfully to patients, employees, families, physicians, and other hospital personnel. Demonstrates effective time management, flexibility and prioritizes responsibilities appropriately. Maintains confidentiality and privacy, i.e., client/family finances, records, health status, employee records, etc. Demonstrates an awareness of departmental activities and goals in an attempt at achieving those goals. Demonstrates initiative in completing work that needs to be done within area of responsibility. Spends any free time in constructive manner, seeking assignments when necessary. Utilizes appropriate lines of authority to maintain effective communication. Modifies massage therapy technique as indicated. Maintains good personal hygiene, a neat appearance, and follows department dress code. Represents the hospital in a professional and courteous manner, both at work and when off duty. Complies with attendance policies with limited unplanned absences. Provides timely notification of illness or absence according to department attendance policy. Demonstrates a willingness to abide by the policies and procedures of Memorial Hospital. Assists in developing and providing wellness programs as appropriate. Schedules clients at convenient times. Assists in health fairs as needed. Keeps informed of fire, safety, and disaster programs. Attends designated inservice programs. Willingness to abide by the policies of Memorial Hospital. Complies with rules and regulations of all federal, state, and local governments. Other duties as assigned.
