About The Position

The Massage Therapist is responsible for providing an excellent experience in massage therapy to aid in the general wellness of the client. This role is part of Spa Operations, where the therapist will exemplify excellent guest service and create a positive atmosphere, ensuring the highest quality of massage treatments to drive guest satisfaction. The Massage Therapist will provide gold standard in spa services by performing massage and/or body treatments, assessing clients’ body conditions to determine best treatment practices, and providing exceptional guest service as team members and guests enter the facility. Responsibilities include utilizing, maintaining, and conducting inventory of necessary supplies and products, maintaining cleanliness of the work area ensuring it is presentable and stocked after each shift, demonstrating and selling spa products, and upselling and/or recommending upgrades based on availability to enhance the guests experience. The role requires flexibility in scheduling, including weekends and holidays, and adherence to all spa policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Current local registration, certification and/or licensure (Licensed Massage Therapist, Certified Massage Therapist, Licensed Massage Practitioner, Registered Massage Therapist).
  • Knowledge of a variety of massage modalities (e.g. Deep Tissue, Pre-natal, Hot Rocks, Swedish, etc.).
  • Must have current CPR/AED and First Aid Certification.
  • Minimum one year experience as a massage therapist, or related occupation.
  • Knowledge of industry with the guest service skills to network, engage, and interact with all clients, guests, and participants.
