Requirements

Ability to talk and hear.
Ability to walk and stand for up to 8 hours.
Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, use hand, finger and wrist dexterity.
Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
Employees are required to work varying schedules, including weekends and holidays, to accommodate the business and demands of the hotel.
Unique personality and passion for the role and the team.
Talent for being detail oriented, building relationships and working as a team.
Great communication skills with a strong customer service ethic.
Comfortably communicate in English.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Current California State Massage Therapy License.
At least 3 years’ experience performing massage, 2 of which should be in a luxury spa atmosphere.
Knowledge of a variety of massage modalities, scrubs, and wraps.
Ability to perform 4 - 6 services per day.
Flexibility availability for various 7-hour shifts (opening, mid, or closing, based on business demands), to include weekends.

Nice To Haves

Forbes Five-Star, Hotel, resort or cruise ship experience a plus.

Responsibilities

Responsible for taking exceptional care of our guests and providing a variety of treatments during their day.
Completing consultation forms accurately.
Maintaining high standards in their treatment room in accordance with spa standards.
Fulfilling guest requests involving their preferences with modalities, room temperature, preferred pressure and even special occasions.
Preventing and correcting imperfections and blemishes.
Reporting imperfections and blemishes and working with several other positions to correct them.
