About The Position

Part-Time Massage Therapist Are you passionate about helping others feel their best? Join the team at Willow Valley Communities as a Part-Time Massage Therapist, where you'll provide exceptional massage therapy and body treatments to Residents, Team Members, and guests of WVC in a welcoming, wellness-focused environment. As a Massage Therapist, you'll play an important role in promoting health, wellness, and relaxation throughout our community by providing massage and body treatment services to clients of the Day Spa at the Cultural Center, including room calls to Residents in supportive living buildings. You will consult with clients regarding their medical histories and challenges with stress or pain to determine how massage therapy can best meet their needs, and educate clients on postural improvement, stretching, strengthening, relaxation, and rehabilitative exercises. You will also assist with answering phones, scheduling appointments for spa services, and updating appointments as needed. Support the development, promotion, and implementation of Day Spa programs including massage, facials, manicures, and pedicures for independent living, assisted living, and structured living Residents. Participate in health and wellness educational workshops and promotional events for Residents. Communicate with Residents regarding questions, concerns, and/or complaints related to massage and body therapy programs. Assist with daily bookkeeping responsibilities and processing payments for spa services and retail products. Prepare treatment rooms and complete clean-up after each client. Assist with laundry duties at the Cultural Center. Maintain ethical standards in accordance with Willow Valley Communities guidelines and Massage Therapy Professional Ethics guidelines. Attend team and community meetings as needed. Demonstrate strong organizational, time management, and planning skills. Deliver exceptional customer service. Adhere to all Pennsylvania state licensing laws and regulations.

Requirements

  • Current Pennsylvania Massage Therapist License
  • Completion of at least 600 hours of consecutive massage therapy training at a state-approved school, including a minimum of 175 hours in anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology
  • Membership with either the Associated Bodyworkers and Massage Professionals (ABMP) or the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA)
  • Completion of at least 24 continuing education credits every two years
  • Current CPR Certification
